About
About Chiara
I started on the frontline as a Content Integrity and Transparency moderator. That is where I saw first-hand how clunky internal tools slow people, and businesses, down.

What I do
I help teams turn ambiguous workflows into fast, trusted products. At Booking.com I've:
- cut moderation review time with a redesigned Moderation UI tool
- replaced dev tickets with a self-service localization rule builder
- made policy look-ups quicker through a brand-aligned knowledge base
Side projects? I revived Verto.sh, rebranding and rebuilding the UI so newcomers find their first open-source issue in minutes. I'm also designing and building Piatto, a mobile-first meal planning app for people who hate meal planning - taking it from concept to working product as sole designer and owner, using Lovable and AI-augmented workflows.
How I work
- Identify the real issue through talks, interviews, and sketches.
- Create easy-to-use tools that let non-technical users work quickly and enjoyably.
- Release small updates, check results, and grow only if data shows success.
- Judgment stays with the research. AI gets me to a testable prototype faster: Claude, Figma Make, Lovable, ChatGPT and Gemini for prototyping, design critique and exploration, and Next.js and Vercel when I ship a real one.
Backstory
- Earned a UX Associates Degree with top marks, and other certifications and certificates in Design Thinking, User Interfaces, Visual Design and Digital Arts.
- I have spent the last years at Booking.com improving both internal tools and customer-facing flows. Off-screen you'll find me on a long bike ride, swimming, snorkeling, or travelling.
